RAW vs JPEG

Updated: Apr 1

Time for another Camera “ just a tip” suggestion. TOPIC: should I shoot in RAW or JPEG

RAW : uncompressed unedited image which is saved to your SD card. Large file

JPEG is a compressed file. Smaller file and is more compatible with software but doesn’t have nearly the colors that RAW has. So what’s so good about shooting in RAW ? We can do some amazing things in post with RAW I use ADOBE Lightroom and Photoshop. This pic for example was hardly salvageable but I didn’t feel it deserved the delete tab. I edited it in Lightroom. This is actually phase one. Tomorrow I’m going to put it in Photoshop so you can see the final product. Compare both tomorrow and see if you can pinpoint what I did. In the end , it’s up to the user. If you have time and patience go with RAW for better image quality. If you don’t have time but just want to send pics easily , JPEG is the way to go. Thank you for your reading. Stay Creative !
